Side plank hold
Intermediate30 secondsNo jumping
How to do it
- Lie on your side, then press up onto one straight arm, hand planted under your shoulder, and stack your feet so your body forms a straight line from head to heels.
- Reach your top arm straight up toward the ceiling and hold.
- Your whole side - from shoulder to obliques to hip - works to keep that line from bending, and gravity spends the entire hold trying to fold you in the middle.
- Complete the hold, then switch sides.
