One-arm plank hold
Advanced30 secondsNo jumping
How to do it
- Start in a plank position with your hands under your shoulders and your body in a straight line from head to heels.
- Widen your feet for a broader base, then lift one hand off the floor and tuck that arm behind your back - and hold.
- The moment the hand leaves the floor, everything changes: your supporting shoulder takes double the load and your abs and obliques go to war against the rotation trying to twist you toward the floor.
- Keep your hips square and level, complete the hold, then switch arms.
